Examination of the holotypeof Calleros brasiliensis var. curtebilineatus Pic, 1934from MNHN showed that it is a member of  Plateros, forming a separate species from  Plateros brasiliensis. Therefore, Calleros brasiliensis var. curtebilineatus Pic, 1934is transferred to the genus  Platerosand  Plateros curtebilineatus( Pic, 1934) comb. et stat. n.is proposed.
