Weichun Li & Jiayu Liu.   Distribution. China(Hebei, Henan, Jilin, Liaoning), Japan, Korea, Russia.   Diagnosis.This species is characterized by the forewing having a broad black dorsal band and with a dark brown strip at end of the cell ( Fig. 6), the cornuti consisting of two long thorns in the male genitalia ( Fig. 107), and the ductus bursae granulous throughout and the signum trapezoid posteriorly in the female genitalia ( Fig. 157).  Ypsolopha amoenellais similar to  Y. scabrella(Linnaeus)in the female genitalia, but differs in the signum trapezoid posteriorly, which is triangular posteriorly in the latter species.  Ypsolopha amoenellais also similar to  Y. japonicaMoriutiin genitalia, and the differences between them are stated in detail under the latter species.
