Examinedmaterial. IRAN, Khuzestan province: 1 ♂, Dez National Park, Mianrood Sanctuaryfor Persian Fallow Deer, 32°06′24.5″N 48°26′16.8″E, 53 m, 11.iii–10.v.2015, Malaise trap, leg. M. Parchami-Araghi/ E. Gilasian.
Remarks.This is the first record of the genus Pseudodoros Becker, 1903from Iran. P. nigricollisspecies can be identified by the following combination of characters: eye bare; median facial black vitta narrower than flagellum; metasternum bare; postmetacoxal bridge incomplete; fore and mid tibiae predominantly yellow, with a median short black ring; abdominal tergites 2–4 with a pair of yellowish lateral maculae. This genus, which has three species of two subgenera ( Dioprosopaand Pseudodoros), is restricted to the Nearctic and Afrotropical regions as well as the Eastern Mediterraneancountries. Pseudodoros( Pseudodoros) nigricollis, which was recently recorded from Cyprus, occurs only in the Afrotropical and Palaearctic regions ( Peck 1988; Kassebeer 2000; Van Eck & Makris 2016).
