Heavens/ wood/ XXXVIII.25/ BM001247114. NOTES: Lister (1925)in the description of the variety wrote“recorded from Bedfordshire, Moldavia, Ceylon, and  Brazil” but in BM we only found one box with “ A. insignis var. major G. Lister, Neamt, Moldavia, 8.1919, leg. Dr. M. Brandza”, and notes in notebook XL: 19–20, which refer to a syntype. Ing (1967) raised the variety to species rank but the collection he designated as the lectotype( BM 3215) was not found in BM. Twoslides were found, collected by Higgins, one has the same data as the lectotype designated by Ing. Another slide from Luton, which has a later date and no number we consider to be a syntype. 1916-08-31 BM K.
