WL: 20mm. Z. gandais assigned for the first time to Guinea-Bissau, which now constitutes the northernmost geographical limit of its known range. This species is known by rare specimens from WestAfrica ( Ivory Coast, Ghana, Beninand Nigeria), Cameroon, Gabon, CAR, Ugandaand Tanzania(Larsen, 2005). The caterpillars feed on Arecaceae, frequent in the area of Cantanhez, where most of the production of palm-oil ( Elaeis guineensis) in the country is carried out.
