Flaring of lip variable depending on size, preservation of specimen.   Distribution.Off Oregon(45˚N) to Southern California(33˚N). 800–3900 m.   Remarks.  Seguenzia quinniis a larger, better-preserved specimen of  S. giovia; note the identical teleoconch sculpture and umbilical details. The typelocality of  S. giovia( Albatross4408) is most likely erroneous because it is too shallow for seguenziids, and may be any of the Albatross4400–4407 stations at depths of 450–650 fathoms ( 820–1190 m), all off Santa Catalina Island, Los Angeles County, California. 2460525589 [331,544,256,278] USNM 203 Off Santa Catalina Island California Channel Islands 5 66 USNM 209228 1 holotype 2460525590 [331,533,322,344] LACM W of Lincoln County 3900 New Tufts Abyssal Plain 5 66 LACM 2065 1 Oregon holotype
