Specimens: 6 exx., Turkey: Elaziğ (Aricak), 38°29′11′′ N 40°14′48′′ E, 814 m, M. Ataş leg. GoogleMaps

General Distribution: Azerbaijan, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, North Macedonia, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey ( Löbl and Löbl 2016).

Distribution in Turkey: The species is recorded in İzmir (Ödemiş, Kizilcaavlu; Fairmaire 1866), Antalya (Termessos), Balikesir (Edremit), Gaziantep (Nurdaği pass), Içel (Erdemli, Gülnar, Güzeloluk, Namrun), and Muğla (Fethiye) ( Niehuis 1989). The data presented here constitute the first record in Elaziğ (Aricak).

Larval Host Plants: Quercus spp. ( Fagaceae ) ( Niehuis 1989; Volkovitsh 2021); V. vinifera represents a new host record.

Notes. The species was reared from old V. vinifera branches of the Mazrone variety; the presence of the insect larvae apparently reduced grapevine vitality.
