Aiereina paradoxa ( Frey, 1934)

Xenomyza (Aireina) paradoxa Frey, 1934: 314 . Type locality: Hinter Indien [beyond India] [Holotype ♂, FMNH]. Xenomyza thorakeraia Shi, 1995: 260 View in CoL . Type locality: China (Yunnan: Simao) [Holotype ♂, IZAS].

World distribution: China, Laos [not India] ( Lal 1960: 43; Oldroyd 1975: 127; Scarbrough 2006b: 143).

Note: Recent work of Scarbrough (2006b: 143) has restricted the distribution of this species to China, Laos and southeastern Asia. Previous records from India ( Lal 1960: 43; Joseph & Parui 1983a: 322) are considered to be misidentifications and the species is here excluded from the Indian fauna.
