• Combinations/variations used in Irish literature: Laelps (Hypoaspis) oblonga Halbert (Halbert, 1915 ; Hull, 1918; Arroyo et al., 2009). Irish Records: Under decaying trees and under bark ( Halbert, 1915); pasture ( Valarasan, 1971); arable soil ( Arroyo et al., 2009); Machair grassland and associated fixed and fore dunes ( Arroyo & Bolger, 2011); moss on soil under oak; moss on oak, Scots pine and Sitka spruce ( Arroyo et al., 2012, 2013a); nest of Lasius flavus and pasture ( Arroyo et al., 2015). Counties: Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Laois, Limerick, Mayo, Offaly, Sligo.
