Notes. Nests from Kansas, Texas, Tennessee, and New Jersey described by Shinn (1967) and ( Rozen 1967). Notes on Iowa nests described by Ainslie (1937). This species is considered polyletic, but it is usually found in association with Fabaceae and may be an effective pollinator of alfalfa and cultivated clovers ( Shinn 1967).
