Range:— Bolivia (BE, LP, SC), Argentina to Uruguay and east-central to southern Brazil.
Ecology:—Mostly epiphytic in forested sites; 700–1500 m.
Notes:—This species belongs to the taxonomically difficult C. angustifolium group. It can be distinguished from
C. angustipaleatum by its narrowly ovate rhizome scales to 4.5 mm long, with brown cell walls (vs. linear-lanceolate scales to 6 mm long, with dark brown cell walls).
