Range: — Colombia and Venezuela to Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, SC) and central Brazil.
Ecology: —Fairly common epiphyte, usually in humid disturbed forests; 400–1050 m.
Notes: —This can be readily distinguished from all Bolivian congeners by the whitish rhizome scales. It is a lower elevation species.
