Range: — Haiti, Dominican Republic; Ecuador to Bolivia (CO, LP) and central Brazil.
Ecology: —Rare, epiphytic, in humid forests; 1100–1900 m.
Notes: —The very narrow rhizomes 1–2 mm wide, long-auriculate rhizome scale bases, and the presence of branched paraphyses in the sori distinguish this species.
