RUFOUS-HEADED WOODPECKER Celeus spectabilis View in CoL
Bamboo forest specialist. Common in HFR, where invariably observed in bamboo. The territorial song and drumming is audible over long distances, and evidence of its feeding behaviour is often observed on bamboo stalks. A pair with two juveniles observed by TNM on 12 August 2014, in bamboo near the reserve headquarters ( Fig. 3A View Figure 3 ) .
