Current status. Cerocoma (Meloides) macedonica Mařan, 1944 , see TURCO & BOLOGNA (2011).

Remark. MAŘAN (1944b) described this species based on four specimens: A male from ‘Petrič’, one couple from ‘Skoplje’, and one male from ‘Angora’. TURCO & BOLOGNA (2011) designated only the lectotype and one paralectotype, male from Petrič and male from Skoplje, respectively. While the male from Angora is mentioned in the original description as aberrant: ‘Bei diesem Männchen sind die Flügeldecken nicht purpurkupferfarbig wie bei den mazedonischen Exemplaren, sondern kupfergrün gefärbt’ [= in this male, the elytra are not coppery-purpureous coloured as in Macedonian specimens, but they are coppery-green in colour], and thus can be excluded from the type series, there is no doubt about the authenticity of the female from Skoplje, and thus we have labelled it as an additional paralectotype.
