Previous records in the Algerian Sahara. None

Previous records in the Hauts Plateaux and coastal area. C. salinus was first recorded in Algeria in the coastal region of Numidia ( Samraoui et al. 2006): Les Salines and Mare Laalalig (Annaba). It was recorded subsequently in multiple sites near El Taref, and Souk Ahras ( Ghaouaci 2018), and in different sites near El Taref, Souk Ahras, and Annaba ( Boumendjel 2019).

Comments. The species appears to be restricted to the northern part of the country and is most common in the eastern coastal region, where a humid and subhumid climate prevails.
