Distribution. China (Xinjiang), Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia (West Siberia).
Remarks. As already noted, the subspecies of C. (Clytraria) atraphaxidis are distinguished mainly by the pronotal color patterns. C. (Clytraria) atraphaxidis atraphaxidis is diagnosed by the following character states: body usually narrowed anteriorly and posteriorly, length 6.7– 11 mm; pronotal spots usually isolated with each other.
C. (Clytraria) atraphaxidis punctata is similar to the nominal subspecies in the elytral color pattern. But the body is almost cylindrical and smaller (length 5.3–9.7 mm), the pronotal spots is usually connected with each other.
C. (Clytraria) atraphaxidis punctata differs from C. (Clytraria) atraphaxidis asiatica by the following character states: pronotal marking smaller; humeral spot isolated with the spot at basal one-third of each elytron. In China, C. (Clytraria) atraphaxidis punctata is less widespread, occurring only in Xinjiang.
