Diagnostic Characters. Cryptotendipes disparilis is characterised by V shaped anal tergite band, superior volsella distally somewhat triangular in shape bearing two apical setae and gonostylus little basally expanded, gradually tapered distally with a nipple like apex bearing single seta.
Remarks. Pal & Hazra (2018) have erected the species based on a single specimen procured from the Northern plain of West Bengal, India. The genitalia of the type is not properly mounted. They unnoticed the actual superior volsella ( Figs. 3 View FIGURES 3 A–B) and considered the structure which is in fact an overlapped distal end of the left side of the lateral sternapodeme on the apex of superior volsella. Examination of additional nine male adult specimens procured from the deltaic regions of lower Gangetic plains of West Bengal fully conforms with Pal & Hazra, 2018 with the following combination of characters: length of gonostylus 131–133, 130 µm; HV 1.90–1.92, 1.91; superior volsella distally somewhat triangular in shape bearing two apical setae; anal point apically swollen; gonostylus little basally expanded, gradually tapered distally with a nipple like apex bearing single seta. After careful examination of all specimens we have included few additional information along with corrections: Total length 2.98–3.27, 3.13 mm; eyes with dorsomedian parallel sided extension of 150–180, 165 µm; AR 1.9–2.07, 1.99; CA 0.61–0.66, 0.63; acrostichals 12–14, dorsocentrals 7–8, prealars 3–5, scutellars 8–10; vein R with 42–46, R 1 30–32, R 4+5 12–14 setae; VR 1.26–1.33, 1.3; T IX with 19–22, 20 median long setae; anal point 72.3–80, 75 µm long with 2–3 basolateral setae on each side; gonocoxite 165–172, 168 µm long; superior volsella 23–27.6, 25 µm long, 11.5–14, 12 µm wide ( Figs. 3 View FIGURES 3 A–B); transverse sternapodeme 55–59, 57 µm long, lateral sternapodeme 128–134, 131 µm long; HR 1.2–1.27, 1.23.
