( Figs 4 View Figures 1–10 , 13 View Figures 11–14 )

Cyana malacca Lourens, 2017 View in CoL , Entomofauna 38 (12): 254, fig. 14a (adult) (Type locality: “SW Thailand Surat Thani prov. Khao Sok NP, 199m., 8°53‟23‟‟ N 98°30'25 ‟‟E”).

Material examined. 1 male, SW Thailand, Ranong prov., Ranong, 380 m, 10°01‟32‟‟ N 98°40 ‟13‟‟E, 3– 4.XII.2005, leg. K. Černý, slide AV3860 ♂ Volynkin (Coll. CKC) ; 1 male, 1 female, SW Thailand, Chumphon prov., Pa Toh distr., Ban Lang Tang , 162 m, 7.XII.2005, 9°46‟5‟‟ N 98°46 ‟59‟‟E, leg. K. Černý, slides AV3861 ♂, AV3862 ♀ Volynkin (Coll. CKC) .

Remarks. 1. Lourens (2017) noted that “All material, including the types, will be deposited in MWM predestinated for ZSM”. However, we could not find the holotypes of C. malacca and C. juliettae during our work in MWM/ZSM collection. Probably they are still deposited in the author‟s private collection. 2. In the original description of C. malacca, Lourens (2017) compared the external appearance of the taxon ( Fig. 4 View Figures 1–10 ) with that of C. determinata sausae Bucsek, 2012 and not the externally similar C. carmina Černý, 1993 ( Fig. 3 View Figures 1–10 ), and did not list the differences of the genitalia of C. malacca from those of C. determinata sausae and C. carmina as well. Examination of male genitalia of malacca ( Fig. 13 View Figures 11–14 ) and carmina ( Fig. 12 View Figures 11–14 ) proved their conspecificity. However, the significant geographical isolation and slight external differences of these populations prove the subspecific status of malacca . Thus, here we downgrade malacca to the subspecies of C. carmina .

Distribution. Malay Peninsula: South Thailand (Surat Thani and Chumphon) ( Lourens 2017). The nominate subspecies is an endemic of the Philippine island of Palawan ( Černý 1993; Lourens 2017).
