Biogeographic province: Yucatan Peninsula. Chihuahuan Desert.
Habitat: Leaf litter and soil of medium sub evergreen forest, lowland forest, mangrove and halophyte vegetation. Xerophytic shrub, composed mainly of succulents and cacti ( Myrtillocactus geometrizans ).
