Type locality: Patabamba, 3940 m, Calca , Cusco, Peru ,

Diagnosis. Length 8.0 mm. Body color dark brown ( Fig. 3a View FIGURE 3 ). Eyes with abundant long gray ommatrichia ( Fig. 3d View FIGURE 3 ). Frons wide, slightly convergent anteriorly, gray pruinose with long gray and black setulae; frontal index 1.5 ( Fig. 3c View FIGURE 3 ). Basal callus rectangular, without median dorsal projection ( Fig. 3c View FIGURE 3 ). Ocellar triangle and ocelli absent. First flagellomere angulate ( Fig. 3e View FIGURE 3 ). Maxillary palpus stout, tapered, with abundant long black setulae ( Fig. 3f View FIGURE 3 ). Scutum dark gray. Wings slightly smoky ( Fig. 3g View FIGURE 3 ); vein R 4 with short appendix. Abdomen dark brown, medial zone darker, distal margin of tergites lighter, medial zone with yellowish setulae on tergites 2–7 ( Fig. 3b View FIGURE 3 ).

Description (Holotype ♀)

Female. Head. Length 8.0 mm, wing length 8.5 mm. Body color dark brown ( Fig. 3a, b View FIGURE 3 ). Frons wide, slightly convergent anteriorly, pruinose gray with long gray and black setulae; frontal index 1.5 ( Fig. 3c View FIGURE 3 ). Basal callus shiny black, rectangular, dorsal margin with irregular border, without median dorsal projection, touching subcallus and eyes ( Fig. 3c View FIGURE 3 ). Eyes dark brown with abundant long gray ommatrichia ( Fig. 3d View FIGURE 3 ). Vertex pruinose dark gray with long gray setulae. Ocellar triangle and ocelli absent. Subcallus pruinose gray laterally with short setulae. Parafacial and gena pruinose gray with long gray and black setulae ( Fig. 3d View FIGURE 3 ). Antennal scape gray with abundant long, semi-erect, black setulae on both surfaces, slightly wider than first flagellomere; pedicel gray, bearing short black setulae on distal margin and long gray and black setulae on ventral surface, with long dorsal projection. First flagellomere black, with an obtuse angle, apical flagellomeres black, short and thickened ( Fig. 3e View FIGURE 3 ). Maxillary palpus with pruinose yellow, stout, first segment rounded, yellow-gray with long black and gray setulae; second segment 2X length of the first, somewhat tapered, with abundant long black setulae ( Fig. 3f View FIGURE 3 ), median side without setulae. Proboscis the same height as head, dark brown with yellow setulae, labellum large, fleshy ( Fig. 3f View FIGURE 3 ). Occiput pruinose gray with gray setulae on dorsal margin. Thorax. Scutum dark gray, bearing sparse, short, yellow setulae, mostly posterior to transverse suture, remainder of scutum with abundant black setulae and two gray longitudinal stripes. Postpronotal lobes concolorous black, with long black setulae. Scutellum dark gray, with long black setulae laterally, shorter on the disc. Pleura pruinose gray with long black and gray setulae; anepisternum with long gray and black setulae; katepisternum and katatergite with long gray setulae. Legs brown, coxae pruinose gray with long gray and black setulae, femora dark brown with long black setulae; tibiae darker, with long black setulae; remaining leg segments with short black setulae. Wing slightly smoky and brown in the costal and subcostal cells, with brown clouds on R 4, base of R 5, base of M 1 and discal cell, and base of CuA 2 and CuA 1; R 5 and M 1 parallel; cell r 5 widely open; veins Sc and R 1 with short black setulae; vein R 4 with a short appendix ( Fig. 3g View FIGURE 3 ). Basicosta bare. Halter light brown. Squamae concolorous with wing base. Upper calypteres yellowish, lower calypteres lighter, with long yellow setulae. Abdomen. Dark brown dorsally, medial zone darker, distal margin of tergites lighter, medial zone with yellow setulae, tergites 2–7 laterally with long black and gray setulae ( Fig. 3b View FIGURE 3 ). Sternites pale brown with long black setulae. Terminalia ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 h-j). Cerci darkly sclerotized, subquadrate ( Fig. 3h View FIGURE 3 ). Tergite 10 ovoid, medially divided; tergite 9 darkly sclerotized, widely divided. Hypoginal valve with distal border slightly projecting and with long setulae ( Fig. 3i View FIGURE 3 ). Hypogynium slightly convex, wide at base, with long setulae. Genital fork with narrow base, neck wide basally, slightly convex, with short spines present on comb ( Fig. 3j View FIGURE 3 ). Spermathecal ducts extended from genital fork, caudal end of spermathecal ducts with cup-like expansions ( Fig. 3j View FIGURE 3 ).

Distribution. Known only from the holotype from the Calca (Cusco), Perú.

Type material. Holotype ♀, Patabamba , 3940 m, Calca, Cusco, 03.Jun.1992, PERU, E. Yábar coll. ( UNSAAC).

Immature stage: unknown.

Etymology. The specific epithet is in honor of the emperor Inca Huayna.
