Dendrobium pedilochilum Schltr. , Orchis 9: 50, t. 4, 1915. Type:— MYANMAR. Without locality: imp. Hennis s.n. (not located).

Kyaukse District : type ; Myingyan District: 1 Jun 2006, Tanaka et al. 036153 ( MBK) , fide Tanaka et al. (2015: 77). SHAN. Taunggyi District: 375 m, 28 May 2016, Tanaka et al. MY97 ( TNS) . BAGO. Bago District: Wallich s.n. (not located), fide Lindley (1830: 82). YANGON. Unspecified : without collector s.n. ( SING) , ident. uncertain. TENASSERIM. Parish 8 ( K) ; same loc., Parish 136 (not located), fide Parish (1883: 193) [as Dendrobium calceolaria ]. MON. Mawlamyine District : without collector s.n. ( AMES 18724 About AMES , 18725 About AMES & 20470). WITHOUT LOCALITY. Type; Rule s.n. ( K) ; without collector s.n. ( AMES). Reported from Chin State, Magway Region, Kayin and Rakhine states and Ayeyarwady and Tanintharyi regions by Kress et al. (2003: 74), but we have not seen material from these areas.

Distribution:— India, the Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and southwestern China.

Note:— The first Myanmar orchid to be described.

WITHOUT LOCALITY. Type .

Distribution:— Northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand and Indochina.
