Disparomitus citernii Navás, 1915 View in CoL
( Figs 27–32 View FIGURES 27–32 , 109, 110 View FIGURES 96–113 )
Disparomitus citernii Navás, 1915: 19 View in CoL .
The holotype of Disparomitus citernii View in CoL is badly damaged. Only the four wings and a small piece of cuticle from the base of the abdomen remain ( Figs 27, 28 View FIGURES 27–32 ). Given the vagueness of Navás’ description, it is not possible to characterize the species accurately. I tentatively include a male specimen from Ethiopia in this species whose state of conservation is better than that of the holotype but also does not permit a satisfactory description of the species ( Figs 29–32 View FIGURES 27–32 ).
Diagnosis. Wing length (mm): ♂ forewing 26–27, hind wing 21–23. The spines at base of abdomen are stout. The male genitalia of the best preserved specimen have an abnormal shape, probably as a consequence of distortion that has depressed the upper part of the parameres inside the gonarcus ( Figs 109, 110 View FIGURES 96–113 ).
Material examined ( 2 ♂♂). Holotype ♂ SOMALIA, Dolo (probably Doolow ), 4.164175/42.079416, alt. 252 m, III-VII 1911, C. Citerni leg. ( MSNG) ( Fig. 27, 28 View FIGURES 27–32 ). Additional material. SOMALIA: 1 ♂ Piana di Fungalango (not located, perhaps a location North of Jamaame, 0.06853/42.744257), III-IV 1923, Patrizi leg., det. Navás ( MSNG) ( Figs 29–32 View FIGURES 27–32 ).
Distribution. Knonw from Somalia only ( Fig. 139 View FIGURE 139 ).
