Drymaeus (Drymaeus) steyermarki ( Haas, 1955)
( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 D─F)
Plecocheilus (Eurytus) steyermarki Haas, 1955: 377 , fig. 79. Type locality: Venezuela, State of Bolívar, northwest part of Chimantá massif, plateau below the summit of Apacara tepui, 1800 m; holotype FMNH 49735.
Material. Venezuela, Estado Bolívar, northwest part of Chimantá massif, plateau below the summit of Apacará-tepui, 1800 m ( FMNH 49735/ holotype).
Remarks. This species has the same white line bordering the suture as Drymaeus (D.) rex spec.nov., but is decidedly smaller. The very faint pinkish border lining the inside of the aperture behind the white lip clearly links both species. The thread-like fold of the columella mentioned by Haas is, however, much weaker than those in the aberrant specimens of D. (D.) rex mentioned below. It is, just as most specimens of D. (D.) extraneus Haas, 1955 , without distinct colour pattern and occurs on the same massif. However, it is smaller and more pointed, having straight sides and some incomplete, dark brown axial streaks on the pale ground colour.
