Type:— PERU. Amazonas: Prov. Bongará, Corosha, cerca al área de conservación Hierba Buena-Allpayacu , 2720 m, 24 September 2008, M . Chocce 4782 (Holotype: USM!)
Distribution:— Peru, in the departments of Amazonas and La Libertad. The species is distributed in the eastern cordillera of the Andes in northeast Peru, with a relatively wide elevation range (1400 m).
Notes:— Epidendrum constricolumna is similar to E. ovatilabium , but is distinguished by the orbicular lip, (vs. narrowly elliptic lip), the 3–4 flowers, (vs. 4–8 flowers), and the sepals 8 mm long, oblong-elliptic, oblique (vs. sepals 12–12.5 mm long, oblong-oblanceolate, strongly falcate).
Conservation Status:— DD. Data deficient.
