Lychnophora penninervia Schultz-Bipontinus (1863: 405) View in CoL . Type :— BRAZIL. In campis sterilibus Serra d’Ouro-Branco, February 1835, L. Riedel 2952 (holotype: LE; isolectotype: P [ P02538890 ]) .
Distribution and habitat: — Brazil (Minas Gerais). Campo rupestre; 750–1730 m.
Taxonomic Notes: —A species marked by the leaf abaxial surface with a prominent and evident reticulate venation, and capitula with 3–4 florets. Very similar to E. reticulatus : see that species for a discussion of the differences.
