Now Eremophila alpestris longirostris (Moore, 1856) View in CoL . See Vaurie, 1959: 41, and Dickinson et al., 2001a: 94. HOLOTYPE: AMNH 554869 About AMNH , adult male, collected on the Plains of Deosai, 13,200 ft, Kashmir, on 24 August 1925, by R. Meinertzhagen. From the Rothschild Collection.

COMMENTS: In the original description, the type, with the above data, was said to be in the Rothschild Collection. This is the only specimen of deosai received by AMNH with the Rothschild Collection.
