Euseius ugandaensis Moraes, Ueckermann & Oliveira , n. sp. (Fig. 42)
DIAGNOSIS: This species differs from Euseius baetae (Meyer & Rodrigues, 1965) by the much narrower calyx of spermatheca. It differs from E. zairensis spec. nov. by having the calyx of the spermatheca more sclerotized and shorter.
FEMALE (2 specimens).
Dorsum Dorsal shield smooth, 408418 long, 288298 wide, j1 42, j3 1924, j4, j5 and j6 8, J2 11, J5 8, z2 1114, z4 11, z5 8, Z1 and Z4 1011, Z5 53, s4 1316, S2 1114, S4 1113, S5 11, r3 1314, R1 10. All dorsal setae smooth.
Peritreme Almost reaching level of j1.
Venter All ventral shields smooth. Distances between ST1ST3 6770, ST2ST2 78 80 and ST5ST5 8696. With 2 pairs of metapodal shields. Ventrianal shield 125131 long, 6772 wide at ZV2 level and 8294 wide at anus level.
Chelicerae – Not adequately positioned to be examined.
Spermatheca Calyx a slender tickwalled tube flaring distally, 2426 long; atrium prominent.
Legs Macrosetae sharptipped: SgeII 2935, SgeIII 3537, StiIII 29, SgeIV 5053, StiIV 3540, StIV 5962; with a distinctly small seta (1618) occupying usual position of macroseta on genu I.
MALE
Dorsum Dorsal shield smooth, 270 long, j132, j3 31, j4, j5 and j6 7, J2 10, z2 and z4 11, z5 6, Z1 and Z4 10, Z5 46, s4 15, S2 and S4 10, S5 8, r3 13, R1 10.
Venter Ventrianal shield subtriangular, 100 long, 107 wide at anterior corners.
Chelicera Shaft of spermatodactyl 23 long.
Legs Macrosetae sharptipped: SgeII 27, SgeIII 34, StiIII 32, SgeIV 46, StiIV 40, StIV 55
SPECIMENS EXAMINED: Uganda: Holotype and paratype females (ESALQUSP, PiracicabaSP, Brazil), 1 km N. Muzizi River, Hoima, on jack fruit tree, 10X1990, J.S. Yaninek. One male, same data as females.
