Fuminana diaphana View in CoL sp. nov.

( Figs 1 View FIGURES 1 –13, 74, 75)

Diagnosis. Male pygofer (Fig. 7) apex subtriangular, tapered and subacute. Style (Fig. 11) apex curved dorsally and acute, forming two minute tooth-like processes in posterior view.Aedeagus (Figs 12, 13) shaft curved dorsally; apex slightly expanded laterally, weakly sclerotized, forming two transparent lobes and pair of short sclerotized processes directed dorsally.

Measurements. Total length: Holotype male: 10.5 mm. Paratypes: males (n = 24), 9.8–10.6 mm.

Coloration. Frons (Fig. 2) with black punctures only near crown-face transition. Other characteristics as in generic description.

Description. Prothoracic leg without filiform setae on ventral surface of femur and tibia. Other characteristics as in generic description.

Male terminalia. Sternite VIII (Fig. 5) 1.5x wider than long; posterior margin slightly excavated medially. Valve (Fig. 6) 1.6x wider than long. Pygofer (Fig. 7) 1.7x longer than maximum height; ventral margin straight; apex subtriangular, tapered and subacute. Subgenital plate (Fig. 8), in ventral view, 4x longer than wide; lateral margins weakly rounded; apex narrowed and rounded. Connective (Fig. 9) as long as wide; stem length ca. 1/3 of basal width of connective. Style (Fig. 10), in dorsal view, with outer lobe small and truncated; in lateral view (Fig. 11), blade narrow, slightly curved dorsally; apex curved dorsally and acute, forming two minute tooth-like processes in posterior view. Aedeagus (Figs 12, 13) dorsal apodeme with laterodorsal angles weakly produced laterally; shaft curved dorsally; apex slightly expanded laterally, weakly sclerotized, forming two transparent lobes, and pair of short sclerotized processes directed dorsally.

Female. Unknown.

Etymology. The new species name come from Latin word ‘ diaphanum ’ and means transparent. It refers to the weakly sclerotized apex of the aedeagus.

Remarks. The new species appears to be more similar to F. extata but can be separated by the aedeagus in posterior view slightly expanded laterally (Fig. 13) whereas in F. extata the apex of the aedeagus is compressed laterally.
