Gelasimus caerulens Adams, 1847 : tentatively identified with Tubuca paradussumieri Bott, 1973

Gelasimus caerulens Adams, 1847 is tentatively identified as a subjective synonym of Tubuca paradussumieri Bott, 1973 . The latter is also found in Sarawak where Gelasimus caerulens Adams, 1847 was described. The taxonomy and nomenclature of both names are now being analysed as part of a larger study on the nomenclature of fiddler crabs by the first two authors with Shih Hsi-Te.
