Diagnosis: The test is medium, pear-shaped in dorsal view; the aperture is surrounded by a wide ridge consisting of small elliptical idiosomes, and partially overlapping edges. The shell is chitinoid, slightly flattened, and has shallow pits on the surface. The mouth of the shell is broadly elliptical. Shell length 68-85µm, width 40-60µm.
Distribution: India: Present record. Elsewhere: Cosmopolitan.
