Paratypes. 1 ex. NNUH20241702 , shell height 14.00 mm, width 10.47mm, height of the body whorl 10.36 mm, locality and habitat same as holotype .
Locus typicus. Bawang River, Laliang Village, Luodian County, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, China; 25.54°N, 106.86°E.
Etymology. The specific name " rayeae " is derived from "Sky Striker Ace-Raye", a character in a card game. We suggest the Chinese common name as " ṛss华ĸ ".
Description. Shell small, thick, solid, oval shape, wine red; shell comprising five to six whorls, growth lines obvious, with transverse ribs, body whorl swollen, taking up most of the shell about 77%. Apex eroded. Suture low. Aperture oval shape, lip thin, inner lip slightly thickened and smooth, white, outer lip yellow-white. Umbilicus absent.
Operculum. ( Fig. 2 C View Figure 2 ) Ovate, smaller than aperture, corneous, thin, brown, length 4.13 mm, width 3.76 mm, and the nucleus located at the bottom left about 1/4.
Radula. ( Fig. 3 C View Figure 3 ) Central teeth with triangle-shaped pointed major cusp, and three smaller cusps on each side. Lateral teeth with enlarged, pointed major cusp. The outer sider of lateral teeth with 5–7 smaller cusps. Inner marginal teeth with four to five and outer with three to four lattened, rounded denticles.
Anatomy. Snout, foot and tentacles buff, around with a black pigmented. Snout broad, squarish, with long cephalic tentacles, tentacles roughly greater than snout in length.
Remarks. Transverse ribs on the shell surface of H. rayeae sp. nov., which is a significant feature that distinguishes other Hua species. Hua rayeae sp. nov. is most similar to H. ovata (Du, Yamg & Chen, 2023) , but can nevertheless be easily separated by the finer transverse ribs and wine red shell.
Habitat and distribution. Bawang River, Laliang Village, Luodian County, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, China. The species inhabits rivers with a depth of less than 50 cm, slow water flow, and a substrate made of stones and sand.
