Range: — Colombia to Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Fairly common; pendent epiphyte in humid forests, less commonly on wet road banks; 1700–2900 m.
Notes: —Differs from Hymenophyllum pyramidatum by shorter pinnae 6–20 mm long, with fewer segments (3–6(8) pairs), and oblong to broadly triangular, obtuse to subacute pinnae. Usually at higher elevations than H. pyramidatum .
