Presence of 41–103 teeth on premaxillary; 37–99 teeth on dentary; orbit diameter 13.5-22% of head length; abdomen all covered by plates; lacking keels on body; pterotic-supracleitrum and supraocciptal also without keels. Brown body with dark spots, smaller than pupil on head and trunk, similar to orbit diameter on fins.
