Diagnosis. The forewing length is 16.5 mm in the male holotype. Kuatunittia erlanga sp. n. is externally similar to K. sapa sp. n. but distinguished by its larger size. In the male genital capsule, the new species differs from K. sapa sp. n. in the longer uncus, the broader valva, the longer and more foot-shaped distal lobe of the saccular process, and the markedly longer proximal lobe of the saccular process reaching the tip of the distal one. The phallus of K. erlanga sp. n. is somewhat medially broader than in K. sapa sp. n., distally tapered (whereas it is distally dilated in the congener), and has a slightly longer coecum. The vesica configurations of the two species are very similar but in K. erlanga sp. n., the distal serrulate platelike cornutus is longer and more heavily sclerotised than in the congener. The female is unknown.
Distribution. Southwest China (Sichuan Province).
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Erlang Shan Mountains, the type locality of the new species.
