Description. Body moderately slender; general body coloration pale yellow, mottled with two prominent large spots on dorsum; one on wing base and scutellum, other on middle of centre line. Crown pale yellow, triangularly produced slightly, with two fulvous spots. Face whitish, without any spot or streak; anteclypeus narrowing apically. Pronotum pale yellowish, with 4 fulvous srtipes; two at middle slightly incurved, two others outcurved. Scutellum with dark brown arrowhead-like markings. Forewing subhyaline, with yellowish shade, 1‾2 castaneous marking, and scattered with numerous small dark brown spots. Venter and legs yellowish white. Second sternal apodeme with posterior lobes ovoid, well developed, nearly reaching to anterior margin of 6th sternite.
Male genitalia. Pygofer with dorsal margin strongly concave; caudodorsal margin roundly produced posteriorly, with numerous thin microsetae on surface; pygofer appendage slender and upcurved, slightly S-shaped with tapering end. Subgenital plate with single macroseta near base, narrowed distally and upturned. Aedeagal shaft in lateral aspect broad basally, slightly curved ending with blunt tip, straight and tubular, widest at 1/3 from base; gonopore apical, on ventral surface. Style long, with 2‾3 microsetae medially; apex with sharp angled edge subapi- cally. Connective Y-shaped, with small central lobe.
Body length. Male 3.00‾ 3.10mm, female 3.20‾ 3.25mm.
Type material. Holotype male, Korea: Gangwon Province, Balgyosan , on Rhus chinensis , 23.VIII.2016, Y.J. Kwon ; Paratypes, 1 male & 32 females, same data as holotype ; 1 female, Giusan, on Rhus chinensis , 9.VI.2016; 4 females, Deokgasan, on Rhus chinensis , 20.VIII.2016; Chungbuk Province , 1 male & 10 females, Cheondeungsan, on Rhus chinensis , 1.X.2016, all same collector.
Distribution. Korea (Central).
Host plant. Rubus spp. (cf. Lee & Chung, 1997), Rhus chinensis (observed).
Remarks. This new species belongs to the multipunctata group and is similar to L. ishiharai Dworakowska, 1972 in genital characters. It differs in having large spots in the commissural area of the forewings, in having the aedeagus distinctly tapered in lateral and ventral views, and by the larger posterior lobes of the male sternal apodeme. This species was previously described by Choe (1986) in his Ph.D. thesis, but the description was never published. Therefore, we adopt the same species name here acknowledging Choe’s contribution.
