Litoblatta misionerae sp. nov.

Holotype. Argentina. Province of Misiones : ♁, PN Iguazú, Barrio Guardaparques (lat 25.6399S, long 54.3618W), 2009, Ramírez Llorenz, P. coll. ( MACN) MACN-En 34650

Diagnosis. L. misionerae is the only species described from Argentina with a spinous left stylus ( Fig. 17 ). Styli located at right angles; the right is transversal and the left is parallel to the body longitudinal axe as in L. clara , but it differs from the latter by a slender via ( Figs. 20–21 ), not strongly curved apically. Scale zone sz ( Figs. 19 , 70 ) presents a patch of long hairs located in a soft cuticle area.

Male. Measurements in mm. N= 1. PL: 5.10; TeL: 19.60; TL: 22.40; IO: 1.10; IOc: 0.70; IA: 1.10. Supra anal plate with an apical straight margin ( Fig. 15 ). Both stylus with spines ( Fig. 16–17 ). Right paraproct with a spinous area near its base on the internal border ( Fig. 15 ). R1P shows distally a patch of hairs (longer than in the other species) located in a soft cuticle area sz ( Fig. 18–19 ). L2 broader basally, via softly curved and slender ( Fig. 20–21 ).

Female. Unknown.

Etymology. The specimen was collected from the Province of Misiones.
