6. Lychnophorella regis (Robinson) Loeuille, Semir & Pirani , comb. nov. Lychnophora regis Robinson (1983: 375) . Type:— BRAZIL. Bahia : Mucugê, a 3 km ao Sul de Mucugê, na estrada que vai para Jussiape, 26 July 1979, R.M. King et al. 8151 (holotype: CEPEC e! [CEPEC18633]; isotypes: F [not seen], HUEFS [HUEFS66578], K e! [K000069209], MO [not seen], UC e! [UC1445321], US [ US 00147446]) ( Fig. 29 G ).

Distribution and habitat: — Brazil ( Bahia , restricted to the Serra do Sincorá, Chapada Diamantina ). Campo rupestre; 900–1960 m.

Taxonomic Notes: —A species easily recognized by its syncephalia at the apices of branches, not surrounded by foliage leaves and cypselae with uniseriate pappus. Similar to Lychnophorella morii and L. triflora : see these species for a discussion of the differences.
