Material examined. ZRC 2004.0619, 1 female (broken, CL 16.4 mm), Balicasag Island, P. Ng et al. from local fishermen, 2 Mar 2004.
Remarks. The specimen bears eight teeth on the dactylus of the raptorial claws and agrees well with published accounts ( Kemp 1911, Manning 1978a, Ahyong 2001).
Distribution. Madagascar, the Andaman Sea, Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan and now the Philippines; shallow subtidal to at least 33 m.
