Distribution and habitat.
Tonle Sap Lake; Chi Kraeng River and Sreng River in Siem Reap Province; Phumi Phsar River in Kampong Chhnang Province (locality no. 7, 8, 11, 13, 16, 20, 24, 27, 36, 37 and 39).
Remarks.
Mekongia rattei is sold in local markets surrounding the Lake. This species along with Corbicula spp. are commercially harvested from the Lake to be sold locally and exported abroad for human consumption and as animal feed in local poultry farms (Fig. 4B View Figure 4 ). Another record of Mekongia from the Tonle Sap basin and surrounding drainages is Mekongia swainsoni (see Brandt 1974; Ngor et al. 2018d). Mekongia rattei differs from Mekongia swainsoni by its larger size and conic shape of spire.
