Genus: Myrmoteras .

Comments. This is another isolated genus, with numerous distinctive features including elongate, trap-jaw mandibles and very large eyes ( Bolton 2003). It appears to be sister to the tribe Camponotini ( Figure 1 View FIGURE 1 ), but this requires confirmation.
