Distribution and remarks: occurs in the Sanaga, Kribi, Nyong and Ntem River basins in Lower Guinea and, report- ed from the Ja River. In Gabon, known from Ntem, Ivindo, lower and upper Ogowe, and middle Nyanga. Some specimens need verification and may represent other species of Nannocharax .
