Material studies. Holotype, ♂: (h) Madagascar / red label (p) TYPE / (h) F. laevis (p) A. Raffray det. / (h) Nearticerodes laevis Raff. / smal rectangular red label without text / blue label (p) MUSÉUM PARIS, 1917 , COLL. A. Raffray / (h) Nearticerodes laevis Raffr. (p) Cl. Besuchet dét. 200 (h) 7 / red label (p) LECTOTYPE Nearticerodes laevis Raffray, P. Hlaváč des., 2016. MNHN.
Note. The species was described by A. Raffray (1900) from the material of Pselaphinae he had received from L. Fairmaire collected by M. Perrier in Suberbieville [= Maevatanana, 16o50’S - 46o50’E, see Jeannel, 1954: 300], Madagascar GoogleMaps . The description is presumably based on one male specimen, not clearly stated in the description, which is deposited in MNHN ( Jeannel, 1954: 300). Although the specimen which was available for this study bears the locality label Madagascar without mentioning Suberbieville, we are of the opinion that this is a holotype designated by monotypy.
Host ant. Unknown.
Distribution. Madagascar (Mahajanga Province).
