Host: Podocmenis sp.
Site of infection: stomach
Holotype: None deposited.
Type locality: Orinoco river (turtles examined in Las Garcitas, Apurito river, Guárico State), Venezuela.
Diagnosis according to Cordero & Vogelsang (1940): Body large, concave ventrally, oval to pyriform. Tegumental papillae and pharyngeal sacs not described. Esophagus and esophageal bulb well developed. Caeca straight and divergent at distal ends, terminating near to anterior margin of acetabulum. Testes in tandem highly branched, with threadlike extensions. Genital sucker median, situated at caecal bifurcation level. Cirrus–sac small. Uterus intercaecal. Ovary small, irregular, intercaecal. Vitelline follicles in two lateral fields from level of caecal bifurcation to level of acetabulum. Eggs not described.
