Lectotype male, (designated by Amédégnato et al., 1995), from Cuba. [ MNCN].
Distribution. Zapata swamp (Matanzas province) and coast of the Guantánamo bay (Guantánamo province), Cuba.
Notes. This species appears to be very rare, as it is only known from the type series of three specimens collected by Gundlach more than 100 years ago. There is one female labelled with a number 62 in the Gundlach collection kept at CZACC ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1. A C).
