Odontomesa Pagast, 1947 View in CoL
In this study we recorded Odontomesa ferringtoni Saether, 1986 , and Odontomesa fulva (Kieffer, 1919) from Alaska for the first time. O. fulva was collected from a tributary to George Inlet on Revillagigedo Island and from Steambath Creek, a tributary to the Newhalen River in the Bristol Bay area. A pupa of O. ferringtoni was collected from Mendenhall Lake in Juneau in late August and a larva from an unnamed lake in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. We also collected larvae of O. ferringtoni in the Chilkat, Taku, Stikine, and Unuk Rivers, all large rivers in Southeast Alaska. An additional record for the genus comes from the work of Saether (1986) who described Odontomesa sp. A from Manzanita Lake on Revillagigedo Island. However, Liu et al. (2016) found that O. sp. A is conspecific with O. ferringtoni .
