Material examined. Holotype, Ψ, Mt. Yunlong, Lijiang, Yunnan Province (100°25΄E, 26°86΄N, alt. 2500m), 15. 0 3. 2004, Wenjun Bu leg.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The specific epithet, an adjective, refers to the color of the abdomen.

Description. Female (figs. 1, 2): Body length 7.5 mm. Head and thorax black, yellow white are: labrum except anterior margin, face below antennal socket, median fovea continues with frontal area, lower half of inner orbits continues with most part of hind orbits, inner side of inner orbits continues with a spot on temple, hind margins of postocellar area, hind head except lower part of median, ventral side of scape, most of lower part of pronotum, tegulae except posterior margin, an arrowhead-shaped spot on apex of mesonotal middle lobe, a butterfly-shaped spot on central part of mesonotal lateral lobe, posterolateral margin of mesonotal lateral lobe, mesoscutellum, appendage, central part and posterolateral margin of metanotum, metascutellum, anterior margin on median of metapostnotum, mesopleuron except mesepleural groove, metapleuron; pale brown are: anterior margin of labrum, clypeus, pectus and metesternum; ventral side of antennae dark brown; abdomen red brown, yellow brown are: deflexed lateral side and broad posterior band on lateral side of tergite 1, deflexed lateral sides of tergites 6 and 7, tergites 8 and 9 except medial triangular spots, which are red brown, tergites 1, 2 and tergites 5–7 each with black basal spot on lateral part; ventral part of valvifer 2 and apex of valvula 3 brown, other part of valvifer 2 black. Four front legs yellow brown, femur, tibia and tarsomere 1 with black stripes on posterior parts, tarsomeres 2 and 3 narrowly and faintly striped with dark brown, posterior margin of tarsomere 5 black; hind leg red brown, black are: irregular spot on outer side of metatrochanter, inner side of apical 2/5 of metafemur, apical 1/8 of metatibia, extreme apical margin of tarsomere 5; metacoxa yellow white, dorsal and ventral side with large irregular brown spots, near apex with narrow inner and outer black stripes. Wings pale infuscate, hyaline; veins and stigma black brown.

Labrum large, anterior margin truncated with a median notch; clypeus truncately incised up to 2/5 of its middle length, lateral lobes a little blunt; malar space nearly two times as long as diameter of median ocellus; inner margins of eyes slightly convergent downwards; supra-antennal tubercles insignificant, frontal area slightly elevated, below level of eyes in lateral view, frontal ridges round, indistinct; median fovea and antennal furrow ditch-like, shallow; interocellar area broad and shallow; postocellar area slightly elevated, relative width: length = 1.33, lateral postocellar furrow shallow and straight; head strongly narrowed behind eyes. Antennae distinct shorter than combined length of thorax and abdomen, flagellomere 1 longer than flagellomere 2 = 1.13, several apical flagellomeres compressed; mesoscutellum sub-prismatically elevated, anterior part of lateral carina acute, apex rounded posteriorly, appendage with acute middle carina. Hind tarsomere 1 slightly longer than combined length of following 4 tarsomeres, claw with inner tooth equal to outer tooth. Front wing with middle petiole of anal cell distinctly shorter than basal anal, a little longer than vein R+M; petiole of anal cell on hind wing present and slightly shorter than half of vein cu-a.

Labrum with several minute and shallow punctures, punctures on clypeus shallow, minute and scattered; punctures on frontal area and continued onto inner orbit scattered, a little shallow, interspaces with distinct oily luster, microsculpture indistinct; punctures on mesonotum smaller and denser than on dorsal part of head; punctures on mesepisternum a little larger and scattered, interspaces with distinct oily luster; meseanepimeron with distinct sculpture, mesekatepimeron polished with several minute and shallow punctures, strongly shiny; punctures on metepisternum minute and dense, those on metepimeron a little larger and scattered, shiny; apex of mesoscutellum and appendages with several large and shallow punctures, punctures on basal part of mesoscutellum extremely minute, shiny; tergites with minute, shallow and scattered punctures, interspaces distinctly microsculptured, luster distinct; punctures on outer side of hind coxa large and distinct.

Ovipositor sheath shorter than hind tarsomere 1 = 0.92 in lateral view, valvula 3 tapers toward apex, a little longer than valvifer 2 as 7: 6. Lancet with 22 annuli (fig. 33), middle serrula with 3 anterior and 14–15 posterior sub-basal teeth (fig. 45).

Male. unknown.

Discussion. The species is characterized by the following characters: head and thorax black, without red, whole of abdomen red brown; mesopleuron yellow white except mesepleural groove, which is black; large and distinct spot on temple, hind margins of postocellar area, hind head except lower part of median yellow. These characters easily distinguish it from other species of the indica group.
