Distribution and remarks: found in Ogowe and Djoung- ou River drainages ( Gabon) southwards to the drainages of the Kouilou and Loeme ( Republic of the Congo), Chiloango, Luculla and Quanza ( Angola) and the lower Congo River. Recently caught in the Komo Basin (Fermon, pers. obs.).
