Etymology. The name is a patronym in honor of C. F. Roewer, who first described this species.
Diagnosis. Male genitalia. Ventral plate elongated, with sides divergent; distal margin with wide, shallow cleft; lateral margin with two elongated and straight setae; distal lobe with three curved setae; apical setae somewhat directed to middle of ventral plate. Glans long, reaching ¾ of ventral plate, with sinuous and smooth stylus, apex slightly swollen ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 A, B). For the rest see Pinto-da-Rocha & Kury (2003: 195).
