Diagnosis

The male of this species differs from congeners by the shape of the bulb, which has a separated posterior part and long anterior haematodocha, a posterior lobe is absent. The embolus in Phintella nilotica sp. nov. is longer than in other species of Phintella , slightly similar to that in Phintella caledoniensis Patoleta, 2009; however, the newly described species can be recognized by a longer bulb (twice as long as the embolus in Ph. nilotica vs equally long in the latter species).

Etymology

The name is derived from the Nile River, at which sources this species was found.
